Exploring a place in Philippines

I took my first travel last year before the last semester of my studies would start. I decided to visit Dumaguete, which belongs in Negros Oriental South side of the Philippines. Dumaguete is a small city which is know as the Land of Smiles, and called the University Town due to the presence of four Universities and number of Colleges. It is also in Dumaguete where the reported crime rate is almost zero percent, A city that combines the provincial and city life. A perfect place to relax and never miss the life of the fun in the city if you live in this province for they have an awesome boulevard that celebrates almost each day especially during weekends, they have rock bands, acoustic bands, reggae, dance music and etc. so you'll get to listen to your favorite music with sea breeze with the glass of your favorite drink. The people in Dumaguete are somewhat trustworthy, they will never lure you even though they know you are foreign, they offer a kind hospitality and they are friendly in a way. So I took my chance of travelling in Dumaguete without even knowing or any idea where to go for I didn't do any research about that place. When I arrived from a boat, I caught myself standing in the road where I don't know which bus should I take. the one going to the left or the one going to the right, So I just step my foot on the first bus that stops in front of me. After sitting in a bus for almost an hour I asked the fare collector to which the bus is heading and if there's a place of interest around and he said yes there's a cold spring in the mountain part, Then I decided to go there, It was really far! really really far from civilization. When I got there I meet some cave explorers and I asked one of them some if there's a beautiful cave or a waterfalls where I can go to, and sadly I cannot explore caves because I was wearing just a shirt, shorts and slippers and I didn't brought any shoes with me, So my only choice is to go the waterfalls (I love waterfalls anyway). I didn't stayed long in the cold spring, I only stayed for about 2 hours and decided to step on another bus going to the waterfalls!
